Grant Bedillion

Viola Faculty and Chamber Music Director


Violist Grant Bedillion has been on faculty at the Grace Notes School of Music for ten years. He is most passionate about chamber music and oversees our award winning Grace Notes string quartets. Grant is the principal violist of Rapides Symphony Orchestra, and serves as associate principal in the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Opera Louisianne. He has worked with many Grammy-winning vocalists that include Lauren Daigle, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Johnny Mathis, Randy Newman, and Michael Boltin. Grant also appears as a violinist in the Oscar Winning movie Twelve Years a Slave and has recorded for several movie soundtracks. Locally, he regularly performs with the Baton Rouge Symphony, the Louisiana Philharmonic, the Mobile Symphony, and the Gulf Coast Symphony. Grant received his Bachelor’s of Music degree in Viola at the North Carolina School of the Arts in 2008 and his Master’s of Music Degree from Louisiana State University in 2010. His teachers include Matthew Daline, Sheila Browne, Ulrich Eichenauer and Katie Dey.
