Gergana Iltcheva

Violin Faculty

Gergana Tonkova-Ilcheva graduated with her violin “masters” degree in NMA “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” under the guidance of prof. Alexander P. Ilchev. In 2015 she completed her “PhD” degree at NMA with a dissertation entitled “Performer’s Review of the Violin Work of Lazar Nikolov”.

Dr Gergana Iltcheva has performed as a soloist for leading orchestras in Bulgaria and as a performer for chamber music in concerts for the Union of Bulgarian Composers, New Bulgarian Music, Bulgarian Society of New Music, festivals March Music Days, Musica Nova, Sofia Music Weeks. She has also recorded for Radio Plovdiv and Bulgarian National radio.

Her teaching career started in 1996 at National Music School, Lubomir Pipkov” – Sofia. Some of her students are prize winners in several Bulgarian and international competitions including:
