Eric Liffmann

Guitar Faculty


Eric Liffmann is a graduate of the University of Louisiana – Lafayette’s Master of Music program with an emphasis on classical guitar performance.  During this time, he studied under the direction of Gerd Weustermann and Jeffery George.  Other teachers have included David Asbury at Southwestern University, Ricardo Ventura at the University of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Gutherie at SMU, as well as Master Classes with Christopher Parkening, Scott Tenant, Adam and Bruce Holzman, Philip Hii, and David Leisner.

Some of Liffmann’s recent performances have included a solo recital at the Performing Arts Stage at Fest for All, The ICC concert series at LSU, The Festivale Internationale de Louisiane, soloist with the Opera Louisiane and accompanist to the St. Joseph Cathedral Choir.   Although trained in “Classical” music, Eric maintains an interest in many other genres in which the guitar is used.
