Emma Littleton

MUSIC & MOVEMENT DIRECTOR/ VOICE & CELLO FACULTY

Emma Littleton recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance in cello and a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary music with a concentration in voice from Louisiana State University. She also holds a diploma from Musikgarten, a program that was developed and celebrated in Germany for its innovation in early music education. Born in Georgia, Emma moved to Baton Rouge with her family in middle school and immediately began taking cello lessons here at Grace Notes! Her education here, along with her experiences in the Louisiana Youth Orchestra and numerous honor choir experiences have given her a passion for musical collaboration. During her time at LSU, Emma was frequently asked to participate in chamber music performances for fellow students’ recitals as well as for composition students. She was granted the Young Musician award from the Baton Rouge Women’s Club in her sophomore year and sang alongside the LSU choir in London. Emma is very excited to bring her love of music to her students, both in one-on-one lessons and as she collaborates with parents and their children in Music & Movement classes for our youngest Grace Notes students. In addition to performing, Emma loves to listen to many different types of music, and in her spare time, she loves learning new crafts, from crochet to needlepoint and jewelry-making.
