Angelina Sidiropoulou

Angelina Sidiropoulou is a violinist from Greece with an active career in performance and teaching. She began her musical studies at an early age, learning both piano and violin. During her undergraduate studies in violin performance at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, she continued her piano education at the Alexander Conservatory. Ms. Sidiropoulou holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Music in Orchestral Instrument Performance from Georgia State University. As she advanced her graduate studies in violin, she also pursued piano pedagogy through lessons with Dr. Elizabeth Moak. Throughout her academic journey, she studied with renowned violinists including Dr. Borislava Iltcheva, Dr. Christos Galileas, and Prof. Dimitris Chandrakis. As an orchestral musician, Ms. Sidiropoulou has performed with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and she has held section violin positions in several university orchestras. Her solo and chamber music performances have taken place at venues across the United States and Greece. In addition to her violin work, she has presented piano recitals in Greece. She has been recognized with numerous awards and scholarships, including the Joe Barry Mullins Scholarship, the USM Orchestra Service Award, the J. Larry and Linda B. Smith Music Scholarship Endowment, and a scholarship from the Gerondelis Foundation. She was also a finalist in the Georgia State University Honors Recital Competition.
