Jason's musical journey began at an early age when he started studying music, initially with piano and saxophone. However, it was at the age of 12, after being captivated by BB King's "The Thrill is Gone," that he made the switch to guitar. This ignited his passion for the instrument and set him on a path of musical exploration.

During his high school years, Jason wasted no time in forming his own band and embarking on national tours. Alongside his bandmates, he recorded albums and gained invaluable experience on the road, honing his skills as a guitarist and performer.

After graduating from high school, he pursued higher education by first enrolling at Black Hawk College, where he focused on jazz and earned his Associates in Music. Additionally, he obtained a music business certificate, enhancing his understanding of the industry.

While studying at Black Hawk College, Jason also took on the role of running a recording studio. This experience allowed him to work with a diverse range of artists spanning multiple genres, further expanding his musical horizons and refining his production skills.

With his Associates degree in hand, Jason transferred to Western Illinois University to pursue his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Jazz Guitar. Immersed in the rich and vibrant jazz community, he delved deeper into his craft, studying under renowned instructors and collaborating with fellow musicians.

      Currently, Jason finds fulfillment in both teaching and performing, embracing a wide variety of musical genres. His versatility allows him to collaborate with a multitude of artists, adding his unique touch to their creative endeavors. Through his teaching, performances, and collaborations, he strives to inspire and connect with audiences, leaving a lasting impact in the world of music.
